James Brown With Special Guest B.B. King Live At The Beverly Theater!

I bought James Brown's first single release in 1956. I was fifteen years old at the time. I could not stop playing the record much to my step-father's chagrin. It was then that I fell in love with Mr. Brown's exquisite band and The Famous Flames.
Later that year I read an article in the Savannah Morning News which was about the fact that James was born in Georgia and his trouble with the law as a young man. The piece went on to say the James Brown was a meticulous taskmaster with his band and would fire any player after three mistakes. The man wanted it right!
Twice in 1982 I was asked (as an engineer) to advise on the recording process to see if I could make anything better. When the shows were over I received copies from the producers at Oak Media with their thanks. That was 1982.
This is the second live concert BluePower is airing and we're sure you'll enjoy it.
The show opens with the illustrious Mr. B.B. King who brings the house down at the very top of the show.
Then James Brown takes the stage and does several of his bigs hits. James notices someone famous in the audience and brings him up to the stage whereas magic begins to happen. I won't spoil the surprise.
Thank you for tuning in to BluePower.com. We're just getting warmed up.
Stay tuned....and please enjoy the show.
Thanks to Oak Media and Arthur Epstein
